Introduction

Team Operation Promotion(OP) was founded officially on 10 January 2008 when 4 very ordinary boys came together to embark on a National Youth Achievement Award(NYAA) project. As the name of our group suggests, all 4 of us are retainees in our respective junior colleges and have decided to maximise our additional academic year by contributing to our society.

The 4 of us were brothers in our secondary school, and we often play football(soccer, however you want to call it) together. Our rationale for choosing to undertake a NYAA Gold Award project despite knowing its well-required commitment and effort is because we are keen to experience life in a less-cliched way. By doing a NYAA project, we are sure we would be exposed to various tumultous and memorable memories that majority of the youths in Singapore would not be able to go through. Therefore, it should prove to be a largely fruitful time for us.

Now for a brief introduction of all members of Team OP.

Austin is an avid Manchester United fan and also plays the goalkeeper for his school, Temasek Junior College. Standing at a height of 1.85m, it would take more than a Cristiano Ronaldo strike to beat him!

Naresh studies at Temasek Junior College and is also a highly popular badminton player. His time with VS had won him several medals and he is currently plying his trade for arguably one of the best badminton schools in Singapore. He yearns to become a national player in the future.

George(who is me) is a member of the Sports and Fitness Club at St Andrew's Junior College and has an undying passion for soccer. The first soccer match that he'd watched in his life was the 1999 SEA games between Singapore and Brunei.

Zai plays the saxophone for the National Junior College Symphonic Band and has an aptitude for cultural performances. Also our team leader, his leadership and vast social network will certainly be assets to our NYAA project!
